FALLYN AND THE DRAGONS

EVERY PICTURE TELLS A STORY
This is exactly what happened when I wrote my novel. I had attended my art class and a friend had drawn a beautiful picture of a very proud dragon with half-furled wings. The original picture portrayed a snarling dragon, but in her interpretation it looked more like a smile. I loved it. For me the story of 'George and the Dragon' had always given dragons a bad press. I decided to write a 500-word story for her, that, is more or less, repeated in the second chapter of the book.
Most of the dragons in my novel are 'goodies' but inevitably there are some evil ones as well. I found the characters of Fallyn and Solo the dragon were invading my dreams and before I knew it the 500-word story had grown to a novel.
The book will appeal to anyone who enjoys a fantasy book. Allan and his twin sister Eileen, together with their best friend Martin, are persuaded by a mysterious visitor called Dorius, The Keeper of Dreams to go to the aid of King Rudri,of Outha on the Island of Nashta.
In the dream world they are known as Lord Fallyn, Lady Eila, and Lord Merin. There they have dragons for steeds. The reader meets Solo, an abandoned dragon; Drablo who bumbles, blows and belches his way along, and Dracito, the smallest of the dragon brothers.
The plot moves between the real and dream world. Is Colin Bates, Allan's archenemy at Morton School really Prince Bato, King Rurdri's evil brother? Will Carla, Allan's girlfriend discover she is a shapeshifter?
My first book 'Fallyn and the Dragons' has moved into the top 100 in two categories onAmazon, ie #'Fantasy' and #Fairytales.' Although I wouldn't class the books 'Fairytales' myself.
